Lakers Rumors: Los Angeles Interested in Jodie Meeks

The Los Angeles Lakers have been very busy this off-season, first with their acquisition of Steve Nash and their ongoing struggle with Dwight Howard. However, the Lakers are still looking to improve their bench by adding solid role players.

According to a report, the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in unrestricted free-agent Jodie Meeks. Meeks last played for the Philadelphia 76ers and was a very reliable three-point shooter.

 

In the 2011-12 season, Meeks shot nearly 37 percent from the three-point arc and in the year before, Meeks was close to 40 percent. If the Lakers add Howard to their team, they will have another shooter the big man can utilize. Teams often double-team Howard in the paint and by adding a shooter like Meeks, the Lakers will be one dangerous team.
