Los Angeles Lakers v Los Angeles ClippersThe season continues to get out of hand for the Los Angeles Lakers with the team losing four straight after falling to the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center on Tuesday night.

The Rockets torched the Lakers last night putting up 125 points on the shorthanded squad. The team traveled to Houston with Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill all having to sit out due to injuries sustained in the loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Although earlier indications showed Howard being out a considerable amount of  time due to his shoulder injury, the superstar center may be back much soon than first anticipated. Howard’s injury was first classed as a torn labrum, but apparently it’s not torn and will not require surgery that may have ended his season.

In the forgettable loss to the Rockets on Tuesday, the only memorable part of the game was Steve Nash and Metta World Peace exchanging a sweaty towel. Nash finished wiping down his armpits after a stoppage in play and then tossed it to World Peace who dried his face with Nash’s sweaty towel.

Outside of World Peace’s lapse in judgement, there was nothing funny about the loss to the Rockets. Houston took advantage of the Lakers’ defensive woes with James Harden and company cruising to a win and handing Los Angeles a fourth straight loss.
