Lakers Rumors & News Recap: Happy Holidays from LN

Steve Nash made his long-awaited return to the starting lineup against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. With Nash’s return came what many people expected – a win. Even though the Lakers struggled for part of the game, L.A. was able to claim a victory in overtime with Nash being a crucial player on the court.

Kobe and head coach Mike D’Antoni immediately saw the impact Nash had during the game against the Warriors. Nash did a great job running the offense, which allowed Kobe to take advantage offensively and put up more shot attempts. D’Antoni worked alongside Nash in Phoenix and there is no doubt that D’Antoni’s offense works best when there is a point guard like Nash who has the ball in his hands.

The win pushed the Lakers up to #12 in the NBA Power Rankings, with a record of 13-14.

Today is about keeping it light, because if you are anything like me, you’re preparing for your second food coma of the day surrounded by friends and family. Therefore, from me and everyone else at Lakers Nation, we wish you the happiest of holidays.

Tomorrow we all get a little gift with the Lakers playing the Knicks in their new bright white uniforms.
