Lakers Rumors & News Recap: Jerry Sloan on Lakers’ Radar?

The rumors have started to run rampant in the City of Angels once again with the Los Angeles Lakers being linked to a possible coaching change in the next month or so.

Although only three games have been played so far in the 2012-13 NBA season, the Lakers are already struggling with a 1-3 record heading into Wednesday night’s matchup against the Utah Jazz. Despite Lakers Executive VP Jim Buss claiming that head coach Mike Brown is safe with the backing of the entire front office in Los Angeles including GM Mitch Kupchak and owner Jerry Buss, Lakers fans aren’t so certain.

Ironically enough, with the Lakers headed to Salt Lake City, the one rumor that has started to heat up is legendary head coach Jerry Sloan giving the NBA one more shot and considering the Lakers as a good place to start.

Even though it is way too early to speculate a potential change at head coach with only a few games played in the regular season, anything can happen in Los Angeles with Sloan possibly on the team’s radar if things continue to go sour with Brown at the helm.

Along with all the rumors surrounding Brown’s job status, there’s been a lot of buzz in Los Angeles about Metta World Peace changing positions, Steve Nash’s injury timetable and Barack Obama getting re-elected.
