NBA: Los Angeles Lakers at Brooklyn NetsThe NBA off-season is under way for the Los Angeles Lakers with one of the team’s biggest names ready to get his body right.

Two-time NBA champion Pau Gasol will undergo knee procedures in order to prepare for an uncertain future in Los Angeles. Although Gasol may have played his last game for the Lakers, the Spaniard wants to make sure his knees will be able to handle another 82-game season.

The consensus around the league and among fans is that Gasol is headed elsewhere before next season. Despite a valiant effort to battle through injuries and continue playing in purple and gold for the rest of his career, Gasol may be dealt in the off-season or before the NBA trade deadline.

In the meantime, Gasol will undergo the FAST procedure on both knees while his fate in Los Angeles remains up in the air and the Lakers’ front office attempts to right the ship.
