Los Angeles Lakers forward Julius Randle kept busy this offseason. He has transformed his body and gotten into the best shape of his life which should help perform at an high level in the upcoming season. Many are hoping Randle takes his game up a notch and really begins to show the type of player he can be on a nightly basis. A strong season can earn Randle a nice payday as he is set to enter free agency next summer.

Aside from working out he also is making sure he is staying in basketball shape by playing against good competition. According to Reed Wallach of SLAM Magazine Randle debuted in his first Drew League game this past weekend. His body transformation showed on the floor as he was almost unstoppable. Along with his former teammate Nick Young’s performance, their team beat the opponent 97-85.

The Drew League is a good way for current NBA players to stay in shape while also having a fun time on the court. Players like James Harden, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant have taken part of the league and put on unstoppable performances leaving fans in a frenzy. Hopefully Randle can build on this and show off improved play next season.

With Lonzo Ball in tow Randle should find easier basket opportunities and more mismatches. If the connection between both of them is good they can become a potent one-two punch.

There is still a lot of time until the season begins so Randle still has some time to improve his game. The Lakers have a solid foundation in place with Randle, Ball, and Brandon Ingram now it is up to the players to finally show the steps they have taken to rise from the NBA cellar and into contention once again.
