LeBron James is set to begin his 21st NBA season as the Los Angeles Lakers star looks to continue performing at a level never seen by a player at this stage of their career. A lot of pressure will be on LeBron to bring home his fifth and the Lakers’ 18th NBA Championship.

It is also unknown just how much longer he will continue to play the game of basketball. He has continually said that he wants to share the court with his son Bronny James, which would mean at least one more NBA season for the superstar.

On the eve of NBA Opening Night when the Lakers will be in Denver to take on the Nuggets, LeBron released a new commercial with Beats By Dre. Also starring Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, and voiced by James’ wife Savannah and Haaland’s father Alfie, the commercial outlines what is driving LeBron at the end of his career:

The idea of LeBron proving to the world that he still can accomplish all of these great things is great motivation for the Lakers star. Many wonder how much he has left in the tank, but he is ready to show that there’s plenty left.

Many will also make note of the appearances of not only Bronny, but also Bryce James with the implication being that not only does LeBron want to play in the NBA with his oldest son, but also his younger one. It would be another three years before Bryce is eligible to be drafted.

But in the immediate is the upcoming Lakers season in which LeBron and Anthony Davis look to build on their strong end to last season and take L.A. back to the top of the NBA mountain. LeBron plans on silencing the doubters and that begins on Tuesday night in Denver.

Lakers’ LeBron James talks what motivates him going into Year 21

While it was different to hear Savannah James give LeBron some motivation, the Lakers star has also spoken himself about what is driving him going into his 21st season.

The Lakers star made it clear that hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy once more remains a top motivating factor as well as continuing to cement his legendary legacy in the game of basketball. James also noted how coming into practice and seeing the rest of the Lakers work so hard to improve keeps him motivated as well.
