The Los Angeles Lakers scored 15 consecutive field goals in the third quarter and led by as many as 16 points, but still came up short to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night, who kicked it into another gear in the fourth quarter. D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson combined for 50 points and 12 assists, but it wasn’t enough to overcome John Wall leading the Wizards with 34 points, 14 assists and four steals.

After the game, head coach Luke Walton commends his players for how they played for the most of the game, and said the third quarter was absolutely beautiful basketball to watch. Walton said he thought Russell played a ‘brilliant’ offensive game and complimented him for his activity on the defensive end.

Tyler Ennis talks about the vocal communication he has with Russell while he’s on the court and what fuels him to be more aggressive. Clarkson discusses what he’s seeing out of Russell now that he’s back in the starting unit.
