Metta World Peace likely played his last game for the Los Angeles Lakers and possibly in the NBA back in April while wearing the purple and gold. The one-time NBA champion has insisted on wanting to continue to play, and he’ll probably pursue that somewhere, but in the meantime, he can’t wait to get a look at Brandon Ingram during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

The Lakers will get their Summer League underway on Friday as they’re set to face the division rival Los Angeles Clippers at the Thomas & Mack Center. World Peace will either be in attendance or be watching from home as the team’s young core tries to put on a show in the desert:

As per usual, the Lakers will be the biggest draw at Summer League this year. The storied franchise will have arguably the most talented roster of players during their stay from July 7-17 in Las Vegas.

Ingram, who will be playing for the second time in Summer League, headlines the talented roster for the Lakers. Ironically enough, fans of the 16-time NBA champions will have all eyes on rookie Lonzo Ball and how the UCLA product plays alongside Ingram.

Along with Ball and Ingram being the star attractions in Las Vegas, the Lakers will also have a few others people will want to see. Ivica Zubac is back for a second time and will join David Nwaba, Vander Blue, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart, and Thomas Bryant.

At this point, most believe the Lakers will be the team to beat as they’re set to play at least five games in Summer League.
