Recently, Metta World Peace went to Vancouver, British Columbia on vacation following the conclusion of the 2011-12 NBA season. World Peace, who spent plenty of time on Twitter talking about his trip to Vancouver, also visited a local news station did the weather while he was in town.

Now, images have surfaced of World Peace rocking a Vancouver Grizzlies jersey. He was reportedly rapping at a club, and looked very comfortable in his Grizzlies jersey.

Of course a situation like this will be overblown in today’s world. Sites are already asking if it means World Peace wants out of L.A., which is a tad ridiculous. Regardless, considering he’s in the middle of a 5-year contract with the Lakers, seeing him in another jersey is a bit strange, even if it doesn’t mean anything.

In terms of actual NBA rumors, World Peace could be on the chopping block this summer via the amnesty clause. It’s well known that his $33 million contract is one of the least flexible on the team, and getting out from under it could benefit the team’s salary cap issues. Still, whatever the future holds for World Peace and the Lakers is still unknown.

Thanks to TMZ for the image.
