On Friday, the Los Angeles Lakers waived Kendall Marshall to clear as much cap room as possible. The goal was to hopefully re-sign Marshall once he cleared waivers, but the Milwaukee Bucks will be claiming him according to ESPN’s Marc Stein:

After seeing numerous players in the backcourt go down this past season with injuries, the Lakers picked up Marshall where he played extremely well. In 54 games, the point guard averaged 8.0 points and 8.8 assists while shooting nearly 40 percent from beyond the arc.

While the Lakers won’t be able to sign Marshall, they still have Jeremy Lin and Steve Nash under contract to go along with their second round pick, Jordan Clarkson. With the team already having 13 players on their roster, it will be interesting to see if they decide to add two more players or keep those spots open heading into this upcoming season.
