With new general manager Masai Ujiri in place with the Raptors, Ujiri is already setting his sights on trading former first overall pick Andrea Bargnani.

Since the acquisition of Rudy Gay, the Raptors seem ready to move on from Bargnani, and the Italian forward is owed $23 million over the next two seasons. Often injured during his NBA career, Bargnani averaged 12.7 points and 3.7 rebounds and was booed heavily in games that he did play.

However, Bargnani’s name has surfaced when the Lakers have thought about trading two-time champion Pau Gasol, but he doesn’t possess nearly the same skills that Gasol does.

Bargnani’s name is brought up due to his ability to stretch the floor, a huge aspect to Lakers head coach Mike D’Antoni’s offense. Despite all the offensive skills, Bargnani is a poor defensive player and doesn’t rebound with the same abilities as Gasol.
