The NBA trade rumors have kicked into high gear on Monday with the deadline for making moves only a few days away on Feb. 19. One team that could be very active, perhaps the most active in the league, is the struggling Denver Nuggets.

Apparently, the Nuggets are willing to start over from scratch with no one on the squad considered untouchable outside of Jusuf Nurkic. Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried are arguably the most desirable players in Denver, but it won’t be easy to land either player, according to Grantland’s Zach Lowe:

The more interesting questions surround Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried. Denver isn’t shopping those guys, but Jusuf Nurkic is the only true untouchable on the roster, per several league sources who have dealt with the Nuggets. The sense around the league is that you could land Lawson or Faried with a Godfather offer. They are gettable.

Although the Boston Celtics are in total rebuild mode with the team stockpiling draft picks this season, GM Danny Ainge appears to be targeting Lawson, via Lowe:

Boston and Denver have had exploratory talks about Lawson, per several sources.

Lawson is still considered to be among the best point guards in the league despite the Nuggets suffering through another disappointing season. The 27-year-old floor general is putting up solid numbers once again this year averaging 16.4 points and a career-high 9.8 assists per game.

There’s no question the Nuggets will be asking a lot for Lawson in return. Boston might have the assets with all their picks, but whether Ainge is willing to give them up for another point guard remains to be seen.

The Celtics already made a few blockbuster trades this season shipping out Rajon Rondo and Jeff Green. Boston has shown the rebuilding process is well underway with the struggling franchise set to be major players in the NBA draft for years to come.
