The NBA trade deadline is right around the corner and one of the most consistent players on the Los Angeles Clippers roster might be available for the right offer.

According to ESPN’s Arash Markazi, reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year, Jamal Crawford, is not untouchable:

One of the main concerns for the Clippers with the playoffs looming is their play off the bench. Crawford continues to play at a high level in a reserve role for head coach Doc Rivers, but there’s a serious lack of production outside of the veteran guard’s consistent play.

It remains to be seen if there is a market for the 34-year-old journeyman. Crawford has one more year left on his deal with the Clippers after this season at $5.6 million and could be an attractive piece for a legitimate title contender.

As Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports suggests, Los Angeles may go after a younger wing player from the Denver Nuggets or Phoenix Suns:

Nevertheless, the Clippers have probed the market with Jamal Crawford to see if there’s a way to acquire a first-round pick that could help them make a competitive offer to Denver for Wilson Chandler or Arron Afflalo, league sources said. The Clippers have also had a continuing interest with Phoenix’s Gerald Green, sources said.

It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out for the Clippers with the team in desperate need of upgrades off the bench. Tayshaun Prince has also been a player mentioned as an option for Los Angeles. The Portland Trail Blazers are also said to be interested in Prince to help bolster their roster for a postseason run.
