The Cleveland Cavaliers came into the 2013-14 NBA season with high hopes of turning things around. The Cavs brought back head coach Mike Brown, landed the number one pick in Anthony Bennett, and signed Andrew Bynum along with Jarrett Jack to bolster the bench.

With all the moves made in the off-season and a solid young core of players surrounding All-Star Kyrie Irving, many believe a playoff berth was on the horizon. Unfortunately, nothing has gone according to plan this season with the Cavs being arguably one of the worst teams in the league yet again and scrambling for a way to right the ship before the NBA trade deadline on Feb. 20.

One move the Cavs might make is trading Jack to the Brooklyn Nets.

According to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, the Nets are interested in acquiring Jack and Jason Terry might be on his way to Cleveland in exchange:

With the Cavs trading Bynum to the Bulls and seemingly unable to get back on track this season, it’s highly likely Cleveland will be one of the most active teams before the trade deadline. Although Irving will not be on the move, it seems as though most players on the current squad are up for grabs.

Along with Jack, the Cavs might be willing to trade the recently acquired Luol Deng. With Deng set to become a free agent this summer, Cleveland isn’t all that confident they can retain his services and may be willing to dangle the veteran forward as their biggest bargaining chip.

As for the Nets, Brooklyn has been able to turn things around after getting off to a rough start this season and would like to bring in Jack to help bolster the bench. Jack was one of the biggest reasons the Golden State Warriors were able to make an impact in the playoffs last year and might help Brooklyn in their attempts to reach the postseason.
