With training camp quickly approaching for all 30 NBA teams, Eric Bledose remains a restricted free agent. However, the Minnesota Timberwolves are making one final push to acquire Bledsoe in a sign-and-trade according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst:

With just days before the start of training camp, the Minnesota Timberwolves are making a final push to acquire restricted free-agent guard Eric Bledsoe in a sign-and-trade with the Phoenix Suns, sources told ESPN.com.

In addition to pursuing a sign-and-trade, the Timberwolves will offer Bledsoe the max contract of four years, $63 million:

The Wolves are offering Bledsoe the four-year, $63 million maximum-level contract that he has been seeking, sources said. Bledsoe and the Suns have been in a stalemate all summer after the team offered him a four-year, $48 million deal in July.

While the Lakers have been linked to the point guard this off-season, there were no reports of the team actually pursuing him since he is a restricted free agent and the Phoenix Suns could match any offer. However, there are rumors the team was going to pursue him next summer along with his teammate, Goran Dragic.

Heading into the season, the Lakers will have three point guards in Jeremy Lin, Steve Nash and Jordan Clarkson. While head coach Byron Scott has not named his starting point guard for opening night against the Houston Rockets, it appears Nash will get the start along with Kobe Bryant, Wesley Johnson, Carlos Boozer, and Jordan Hill.
