The start of the 2014-15 NBA season is still months away, but that hasn’t stopped a few of the players on the Los Angeles Lakers roster from putting in some work at the team’s practice facility.

The recently re-signed Nick Young was seen in El Segundo on Thursday putting up a 1,000 shots on the practice floor. Here’s a video the Lakers post on the team’s Vine account of Young getting shots up:

Newcomer Ed Davis was also seen at the practice facility this week working on his jumper via Lakers’ Vine account:

Davis was considered to be somewhat of a steal for the Lakers. Davis signed a two-year deal with the team worth $2 million. The former Memphis Grizzlies big man has a player option in the second year.

Young and Davis could get considerable playing time next season. Young will likely play a similar role off the bench while Davis will help bolster the frontcourt and could backup Jordan Hill at center.
