The Los Angeles Lakers won a thriller Tuesday night in Staples Center as the team escaped with a 98-95 victory against the Sacramento Kings. Behind a stellar performance by Kobe Bryant with timely baskets down the stretch, the Lakers finally snapped their three-game losing steak.

Bryant finished the night with 32 points, six assists and was perfect from the free-throw line, going 8-8. Despite the recent struggles the Lakers have had in the fourth quarter, Bryant put the team on his shoulders and guided them to victory. After the game, Nick Young spoke to the media and talked about what it is like having Kobe as a teammate via Lakers Nation senior writer Ryan Ward:

Bryant is a once-in-a-generation type of player and the Lakers have been extremely fortunate to have him for 19 seasons. With Kobe on the verge of surpassing Michael Jordan for third on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, people are beginning to reflect on his amazing career and just how different the league will be without him.

Nick Young may not be enjoying a lot of team success this season, but there is noting like learning from Kobe himself. Although his illustrious career will be coming to an end soon, there is no doubt the Black Mamba has left a lasting impression on the franchise and its incredible fan base.
