Pau GasolFor the second consecutive game, Lakers center Pau Gasol will sit out with an upper-respiratory infection, according to the LA Daily News. Gasol will likely be listed as day-to-day for the upcoming contests as head coach Mike D’Antoni feels that Gasol is getting better and should be ready soon.

“He feels better,” D’Antoni said of Gasol. “I would think next game he would be ready.”

Gasol was bothered with a respiratory infection at the beginning of the season that lasted a little over two weeks. This is the second time that Gasol has contracted the infection this season. The Lakers have not won a game with Gasol out of the lineup.

The Lakers other injured big, Chris Kaman, is still a game time decision as he’s dealing with a sprained ankle. However, D’Antoni expects Kaman to be able to go tonight.

“That’s encouraging,” But D’Antoni said of Kaman. “He did his stuff. He should be okay. But he’ll warm up tonight and we’ll find out.”

Even if Kaman is ready to go, Jordan Hill is likely to start at center tonight according to the report. With the injury report in flux, D’Antoni has had to constantly shift lineups to find some working rotations.

The 76ers will be the first of a four-game home stretch for the Lakers.
