POLL: Lakers Nation Would Choose Xavier Henry Over Shawne Williams

With the recent signings of Shawne Williams and Xavier Henry to partially-guaranteed contracts, we asked Lakers Nation who they’d like to see make the Lakers roster for the 2013-14 season.

Williams is a six-year journeyman who has played for Mike D’Antoni in New York, so he has a bit of an understanding of the offensive system. Williams has struggled with consistency throughout his career, but had his best season under D’Antoni when he averaged 7.1 points per game.

Henry is heading into his fourth year in the NBA and, should he make the Lakers roster, will be playing for his third NBA team. Henry left college a little earlier than what some experts thought he should, and has been a little raw on both sides of the floor.

Henry’s three-point shooting and ability to defend multiple positions could get him some looks in training camp. Henry is a career 40 percent three-point shooter and could serve as a floor spacer in the Lakers offense this year.
