The Los Angeles Lakers won a statement game tonight, defeating the red hot San Antonio Spurs in their own building, 98-84. With the win the Lakers moved to within 4.5 games of the Spurs in the race for second place in the West. Andrew Bynum had an enormous game in Kobe Bryant’s absence, finishing with 16 points and a career-high 30 rebounds.
