Whenever a player scores 20 points in a half, he is celebrated in the locker room and fans often marvel at his greatness. Kobe Bryant scored 20 in the second half of Team USA’s win over Australia, in one of the biggest stages in basketball. However, instead of receiving praise, Bryant had to take a drug test.

According to reports, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant received on Olympic drug test after his outburst against Australia.

According to a source, Bryant was the USA player chosen to take the mandatory random drug test after the late-night contest and was unable to ride back to the team hotel with his teammates. With the game beginning at 10:15 p.m. here, Bryant didn’t arrive back at the hotel until 2 a.m.

Something like this directly after a basketball game is quite rare, but the Olympics are known for its strict policy. The only possible cause for something like this is that perhaps the Games thought performance-enhancing drugs helped Bryant to his 20-point game.

I’m sure after handing the testers his sample he simply added, ‘you’re welcome.’
