The Los Angeles Lakers went on their longest road-trip of the season and went a mediocre 3-3 away from the Staples Center. The Lakers started the trip in Denver and concluded today when they went north of the border to Toronto.

Game 1- at Denver Nuggets- Lakers win 93-89

The Los Angeles Lakers began the trip in Denver and escaped with a four point win. The Lakers had not been very successful on the road and this was perhaps their best road win of the season at that point.

Game 2- at Utah Jazz- Jazz win 96-87

The Lakers could not win their second consecutive game in Utah and once again fell to their Western Conference ‘rival.’ The Lakers could not execute down the stretch and once again failed to come up clutch late in the game.

Game 3- at Philadelphia 76ers- 76ers win 95-90

This was a special game for Kobe Bryant not just because he returned to his home, but because he passed Shaquille O’Neal for fifth on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

However, the Lakers once again lost the game and it was the result of sloppy play in the fourth quarter. The Lakers were ahead in the final minutes, but the Sixers made a run late and won the game. Louis Williams made big shots and the Lakers had no answer for him on the other end of the court.
