[new_royalslider id=”169″]

After a 143-107 loss on Friday to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Lakers are looking to dodge another blow this year by avoiding a season sweep to the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have not swept the Lakers in the regular season since the 2005. The last time the two teams faced off, the Suns had eight players in double-digit points in route to a 121-114 home victory on Jan. 15.

The Phoenix Suns are continuing to climb their way to their first playoff run in four years with an overall record of 44-29. Led by Eric Bledsoe, the Suns have won eight of their last ten games since his return.

Former Suns guard and two-time NBA MVP, Steve Nash, has only appeared in 12 games this season after suffering a nerve root irritation. In his last game, he was able to score six points and dish out four assists in only 15 minutes on the floor. Nash is listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s game.

Among other players listed off the active roster tonight are Jordan Farmar with a hamstring injury, a knee injury for Xavier Henry, and vertigo for Pau Gasol.

The Lakers will look to finish the season strong with only ten games remaining in the regular season.
