After a disappointing loss to a struggling New Orleans Pelicans team, the Lakers will face their Staples Center rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night. The two teams are playing good basketball as of late as the Clippers are winners of five straight and the Lakers have won two out of three, including a surprising road victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. The two teams have split the seasons series so far with the Lakers winners of the first and the Clippers of the latter. With the Lakers far off from a playoff spot, tonight’s game will be more about pride and bragging rights.

The Lakers have started getting relatively healthy, but are still without Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash. Jordan Hill will also sit out tonight due to knee issues. With Jordan Farmar’s hot play of late, there were rumors that he would start over Kendall Marshall. However, Mike D’Antoni has decided to use the same starting lineup as the past couple of games. The Clippers are without shooters J.J. Redick (back) and Jamal Crawford (calf).
