Kobe Bryant has wore two jersey numbers in his career, number eight and number 24.  In the early years of his career, Kobe rocked number eight.  During that time, Kobe won three-titles, scored 81 points, but also had some legal trouble.  However, the number 24 era was a new beginning for Kobe.  Kobe “started” a new chapter in his life and became to leader of the Lakers.  During this time Kobe won two-titles, a regular season MVP, two Finals MVPs and he beat Boston in the Finals.  So which number should be sent up to the rafters, number eight or number 24?  Let the debate begin Lakers Nation!

Lakers’ rookie Derrick Caracter has to lose weight in order to receive more money on his contract.  The Lakers offered Caracter a $473,000 contract and guaranteed him $250,000.  However, the only way Caracter will receive the rest of his money is if he weighs 275 lbs by Friday.  [Yahoo Sports]
