Time Warner Cable to Launch Shows Following Lakers and Laker Girls

The 2012-13 NBA season is fast approaching and that means Time Warner Cable is preparing for its first season covering the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Lakers and Time Warner Cable signed a massive contract and fans can anticipate great, extensive coverage of the team. Time Warner Cable will launch on Oct. 1 and for the first time, the Lakers will have both an English and Spanish station dedicated to their coverage.

Not only will Time Warner Cable be broadcasting Lakers games, but the network will give fans the ultimate experience with two unprecedented series, “Backstage: Lakers” and “Laker Girls.”

Lakers.com looks at the upcoming shows and highlights what fans can expect from them. “Backstage: Lakers” will following the Lakers throughout the season and will give viewers a look into the locker-room, front-office and areas usually off-limits to the public. The series will debut on Oct. 1 and the 30-minute show will begin with an episode preparing viewers for the 2012-13 season.

Time Warner Cable will also be following the Laker Girls and the 2012-13 dance squad. The Laker Girls are an iconic dance group and the television network will do its all to give fans a behind-the-scenes experience. Viewers will get a chance to see how the dancers did during tryouts and their performances throughout the season. This series will consist of five, one-hour shows starting Oct. 2.

The Lakers and Time Warner Cable are anticipating great things next season and fans all over Lakers Nation will surely enjoy the amazing coverage.
