With the NBA Draft in less than three weeks, the Los Angeles Lakers are armed with the 2nd, 27th and 34th picks. While the team has been working out prospects for their late first round and early second round picks, Los Angeles recently worked out Emmanuel Mudiay on Saturday.

Following the Cleveland Cavaliers victory over the Golden State Warriors in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, the Lakers shared a photo of the basketball operations department meeting with another top-five prospect in D’Angelo Russell from Ohio State:

With both parties meeting tonight, Russell will work out for the Lakers on Monday. While all the attention has been on big men prospects Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor, there have been reports the Lakers are considering Russell or Mudiay with their second overall pick.
With the NBA Draft quickly approaching, the Lakers will evaluate all of their options and hope to add another key piece to their young core of Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson.
