Ben Simmons! 1 or 2 pick in draft?

Ever since the Los Angeles Lakers were able to acquire the second overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, there has been plenty of speculation as to who will be available and whether they will even keep the pick. The number one pick in the draft has come down to two players in LSU’s Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram out of Duke.

Simmons possess a skill set similar to that of LeBron James, a point forward who is a natural ball-handler and can find open teammates with his stellar passing ability. His prototypical size along with his freakish athleticism make Simmons physically ready to take on the task of becoming a true pro.

However, the one glaring issue surrounding his game is his jump shot. Simmons was seemingly hesitant to take jumpers during his brief college campaign, finishing the season shooting 33 percent from deep and just 67 percent from the free-throw line.

That hasn’t stopped Simmons from putting some work into improving his jumper prior to the NBA Draft (June 23) as we see here thanks to a video posted by NBA TV commentator and former three-point specialist Dennis Scott.
