The Los Angeles Lakers allowed 40 points in the third quarter alone in their 114-105 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night. Needless to say, Lakers head coach Byron Scott was not happy with the Lakers effort after the loss and threatened to change the entire starting lineup.

I might change the whole starting five. I’m serious. I don’t know.”

Whether or not Scott decides to change the entire starting five, lineup changes are certainly coming. Scott said this week to expect some changes over the course of the next few games. Scott also decided to sit both Wesley Johnson and Carlos Boozer and give more time to the other bigs, like Robert Sacre and Tarik Black. Jeremy Lin was also playing more off the ball.

Scott was not happy with the teams’ tendency to fall back on selfish offensive tendencies, Friday night.

On the offensive end, we tried to do it individually, instead of trying to do it as a team.”

The Boston Celtics come in to Staples Center on Sunday night. Hopefully, the rivalry will give the Lakers an extra boost and punch of energy to play a full 48 minutes.
