Jeremy Lin and Wesley Johnson both set season-highs in scoring off the bench in the Los Angeles Lakers overtime win against the Boston Celtics on Sunday night, with 25 and 22 points respectively. It was the second consecutive time Jeremy Lin led the Lakers in scoring off the bench. Lin had 18 points in the loss to Brooklyn on Friday.

Lin said with him and Ronnie Price switching up at the one and two positions and Wes Johnson at the four, everything clicked on Sunday, including Nick Young’s shooting rhythm, finishing with 19 points. Lin pointed to spacing, as being one of the main reasons for his success.

I felt like today I saw a lot of space. I went one-on-one with the bigs often in the pick and rolls,” Lin said after the game. “I was able to see more space and that’s helpful for me because everyone knows my bread and butter is pick and roll.”

Lin also said the Lakers-Celtics rivalry was a big focus all day, so the win was a really “cool” one to get. The Lakers finally had smiles on in the Lakers locker room (check out this video of Nick Young and Jordan Hill messing around post-game).

The purple and gold will practice on Monday before heading on the road to take on the Jazz in Utah on Wednesday.
