VIDEO: Jeremy Lin On Dwight Howard, Lakers Vs. Houston Rockets

Jeremy Lin will be making his debut as the starting point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers on Opening Night, matching up with his former team, the Houston Rockets.

Lin said going up against his former team really doesn’t have any added weight to it:

We could be playing whoever’s projected to be last in the league this year and it would still feel very intense.”

As for his thoughts on Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant, Lin didn’t feel it was appropriate to comment on a relationship that he didn’t know much about. Lin did say he had a lot of respect for the way Howard handled getting booed on the road last season. Lin also noticed a personality change within Howard over the past couple years.

I think within the last two years Dwight has really wanted to become very assertive and dominant, just in general.”

As far as dealing with the injuries, Lin said he’s been hearing people compare this season as starting to feel like last season, which is “not a good thing!” Lin himself is coming off ankle sprains during training camp, though he says his ankles feel great.

If Ronnie Price sits for the season-opener (sore knee), it’s likely the rookie Jordan Clarkson will be coming in for Lin off the bench.
