Los Angeles Lakers rookie Jordan Clarkson finished with 26 points, six assists, four turnovers and two steals in their 120-106 loss to the Dallas Mavericks at Staples Center. After back-to-back games against Clippers point guard Chris Paul last week, Clarkson had another tough matchup against Rajon Rondo on Sunday night, who finished with 11 assists to go along with his eight boards, 11 points and three turnovers.

After the game, head coach Byron Scott said Clarkson “wasn’t bad” matching up against Rondo, but also said he’d like him to be more vocal on the floor and more careful with the ball. Rondo had only good things to say about the rookie post-game, including that he played well and “under control.”
