Against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, Kobe Bryant aggravated his shoulder that has been bothering him since the start of the 2014-15 NBA season. An MRI revealed a torn rotator cuff and Kobe is expected to miss the rest of the season due to injury.

While Kobe and the Los Angeles Lakers are evaluating their options and a final decision could be made as early as Monday, The Player’s Tribune provided an exclusive look at the five-time champion getting a diagnosis on his torn rotator cuff:

With this potentially being his third consecutive season-ending injury, it will be interesting to see what Kobe does. After recovering from an Achilles rupture and broken knee, Kobe started the season playing at a high-level, but had to adjust his game after playing major minutes.

In his 19th season, Kobe is averaging 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 35 games.
