Kobe Bryant passing Michael Jordan for third on the NBA’s all-time scoring list will go down not only as one of the best moments of the Lakers’ season, but of the entire NBA season as a whole.

Now in his 19th season, Kobe surpassed his idol with two free throws in the second quarter of the Lakers’ 100-94 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The NBA recently released a video showcasing the moment on their official YouTube page:

The video has some beautiful shots of Kobe arriving to the arena and on the floor as he inched closer and closer before finally passing Jordan. It also featured some comments from Bleacher Report’s Kevin Ding as well as a couple of fans in the building.

The NBA also got a look at some of the comments Kobe made after the game about everything he was feeling when he finally achieved the milestone. An excellent look at a moment everyone who witnessed will never forget.
