Ever since retiring from the Los Angeles Lakers a few weeks ago, Kobe Bryant has been keeping himself busy with his company, Kobe Inc. Kobe has plenty of plans for his company in his post-retirement life, but he also had another interesting offer from the folks at Turner Sports.

The ‘Inside The NBA’ crew of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, and Shaquille O’Neal gave Kobe an offer to join their show, one that most consider to be the best post-game show in sports.

To date, there had been no official response from Kobe on whether or not he would accept that offer, but in a video from TMZ Sports, Kobe made it clear that he will not be joining Inside The NBA.

It’s unfortunate that Kobe will not join the show as his knowledge of the game, and straightforward mentality would have made him a great addition. Watching Kobe, Shaq, and Charles trade insults would have been must-watch TV, but that will not be the case.

Also in the video, Kobe spoke about training Shaq’s son Shareef, noting that he would be teaching the class of 2018 forward his style of basketball, and not that of his Hall of Fame father.

Kobe did also give the open invitation to the young Lakers players about working with them this offseason as well so while we won’t be seeing him on our TVs, basketball will still be some part of his life.
