Kobe 32000

Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest scorers the NBA has ever seen and on Tuesday night, he reached another milestone cementing his place among the greatest to ever play the game.

With the Lakers holding on to a slim lead, Kobe took control for the Lakers. Backing down one of the best defenders in the league in Thabo Sefolosha, Kobe spun and hit one of his patented fadeaways to get his 32,000th career point.

Kobe joins an exclusive club as only three other players have ever scored that many points: Michael Jordan, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Kobe finished with 28 points on an efficient 10-18 from the field and is now only 291 points behind Michael Jordan for third on the all-time scoring list.

Even more important for Kobe and the Lakers is that the team picked up its second win of the season with a 114-109 victory over the Atlanta Hawks. This is about Kobe right now and Lakers Nation celebrating Kobe Bryant for reaching 32,000 career points.

Here is what Kobe had to say about his latest accomplishment following the game via Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:
