In our exclusive interview, Brown recaps the moment he heard his name announced, which involved family running out of the house, and Brown frozen in shock wondering if the NBA had just skipped a pick.

Brown talks about growing up a Lakers fan, especially during the Kobe/Shaq days and understanding the pride of wearing that Lakers jersey:

I’m definitely proud to be a Laker, a lot comes with putting on that jersey, I would consider this a top 3 franchise, in any sport so a lot comes with that.”

Brown was raised in Bellflower, California and attended Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach and his family is happy to have him close to home. Brown wants Lakers fans to know he’s appreciative, thankful and willing to work.
