Video: Lakers’ Xavier Henry Collides With Wes Johnson’s Leg

Lakers forward Xavier Henry has been one of the teams’ biggest surprises through two games, but in tonight’s game against the Spurs, he took a nasty spill early in the second quarter.

Henry has been aggressive in 2+ games with the Lakers as he’s averaged close to nine free throw attempts per game and on his way to the rim, he collided with Lakers forward Wesley Johnson, causing him to bleed from the forehead.

A blocking foul was called and Henry stood on the floor with trainer Gary Vitti for several minutes as he needed to shoot the free throws or else he wouldn’t be allowed back into the game. The blood finally stopped and Henry was given a protective skullcap as he knocked down both free throws, giving the Lakers a 33-18 lead.

Henry would then go back into the tunnel with Vitti and other members of the medical staff as they went to check him out in the locker room.
