The Ball family, whose brand Big Baller Brand recently released their first signature shoe, the “ZO2,” recently went sneaker shopping with Joe La Puma of Complex at Flight Club in Los Angeles.

The oldest son, Lonzo, who designed the ZO2s is currently one of the top prospects in the upcoming draft and is considered the favorite by many to land to the Los Angeles Lakers at No. 2.

While he is considered the favorite, it is all but a lock as Josh Jackson and De’Aaron Fox are also in the running. While Lonzo didn’t answer any of La Puma’s questions regarding what team he will end up with, the middle brother, LiAngelo, called Lonzo “The Laker Guy” at one point, and Lonzo has said in the past that he would rather get drafted by the Lakers than go No. 1.

His dad LaVar has also expressed his desire for his son to play for the Lakers, saying that he is going to speak it into existence.

If that is going to happen then Lonzo will need to have impressed Magic Johnson, Rob Pelinka and the rest of the Lakers scouting department during his workout yesterday at the Lakers practice facility in El Segundo.

That workout remains the only one Lonzo has done so far, though he said he would leave it up to his agent as to whether he will do any more.

Lonzo will now have to wait until June 22 to see if he ends up staying in Los Angeles to play for his hometown Lakers. Until then he will be training in his new sneakers along with his brothers LiAngelo and LaMelo.
