Lakers Nation caught up with Williams immediately after his introductory press conference about everything from the craze and support of the fan base to his love of music and what he’s hoping to learn from Kobe Bryant.

What about repeating as next year’s NBA Sixth Man of the Year, an accolade Bryant challenged Nick Young of winning last year?

Absolutely, if that’s my role, I look forward to defending my title. If Kobe wanted Nick to win it, and I won it, now we’re both on the team so hopefully we can keep it in the family.”

Plus, since Williams shares a love for rap and creating his own music, we had to ask him: who’s the better rapper — Shaq or Kobe? It’s all in our exclusive interview above.
