VIDEO: Nick Young On Kobe, ‘Take The Backseat For A Little Bit’

Los Angeles Lakers fan favorite Nick Young has become quite the spectacle in his post-game interviews this season. The Lakers were without Kobe Bryant on Tuesday night, whom Lakers head coach Byron Scott advised to stay at home to rest. Yet, the Lakers beat the league-leading Golden State Warriors 115-105 and Nick Young had plenty to say about it.

Before Bryant finds himself back in the starting lineup, which Scott noted would be on Christmas Day against the Chicago Bulls, Young said he’s got something to tell his teammate.

Pretty much going to have to tell Kobe to pass me the ball, pass us the ball,” Young smiled after the game. “Tell him to take the backseat for a little bit.”

The likelihood of Young actually telling Bryant to take a backseat is about as likely as Young averaging more than one assist per game, though imagining that is quite amusing.

Plus, in our video above, Young says Bryant’s been telling him since the summer about meeting back up with his old teammate Pau Gasol on Christmas Day. And, Young talks about his 1962 Impala Christmas gift from Iggy Azalea and what he “won” her for Christmas.
