VIDEO: Orlando Magic’s “Forget You” Parody Leaves Dwight Howard in All Smiles

What better way to get over a break-up than through song? Seems the Orlando Magic are trying that out releasing a “Forget You” parody dedicated to Dwight Howard. Although his mindset should have been focused on the Chicago Bulls, Howard’s attention was on YouTube.

Before the Lakers took the floor on Sunday, Howard was said to have pulled out his iPad Mini, and shared the “Forget You” parody with his teammates, according to the L.A. Times. The video was posted on Thursday by the Orlando Sentinel, but has just started to pick up attention having over 2,200 views.

Howard had an interesting choice of words for the Magic earlier this week, so I guess this is a way to even the score away from the court. Still Howard’s “happy-go-lucky demeanor” wouldn’t allow him to take this personally, finding much enjoyment in the creativity put into the video.

The video animates Howard’s former teammates like Jameer Nelson and Hedo Turkoglu singing along side Cee Lo Green’s melody. Some lyrics include…

“I guess our brand new arena wasn’t enough, and I’m like forget you and the Lakers too.”

It seems since Howard took his talents to L.A. the Magic have had a season to forget. They are 17-46 on the season and hold the second-worst record in the NBA, (and we thought the Lakers were doing bad). Still the Magic had the last laugh since defeating the Lakers at home 113-103 back in December.

The Lakers will again face the Magic this Tuesday in Orlando, looking to even up the score. This will be Howard’s first return to Orlando since his trade in August. If or when the Lakers pull out this win I wouldn’t be surprised if they played this on the bus as they head to the airport.

Check out the video for yourself.
