For years now, Los Angeles Lakers fans have been pleading to bring back Phil Jackson in hopes that he could turn around the franchise during this rough period. Now that he is in charge of the New York Knicks, the chances of that happening are slim to none.
With the team continuing to struggle right now, some still wonder how it would be if Jackson were in charge. TMZ Sports caught up with Jackson and asked him if the Lakers would be better off if he was coaching. Jackson took a little dig at the state of the team.

Jackson said that the Lakers have a lot of needs. He did, however, call Byron Scott a great coach in the video.
When asked if he would be better than Scott, Jackson said talent makes a coach great, and added that the Lakers are growing up together.
Though Jackson was complimentary of Scott, many would note that his criticism of the state of the Lakers is ironic considering his Knicks currently have a lower winning percentage than the Lakers.
