This holiday season, 50 kids from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Whittier and East Los Angeles joined Lakers players at the Marine Corps Supply Depot, where they “shopped” amongst hundreds of donated toys, as part of the US Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.

Some of the toys were donated by our own Lakers fans, who brought toys to a Lakers game in the second week of December.

Ryan Kelly, Wesley Johnson and Jordan Clarkson had a great time playing with the kids who also decorated gingerbread cookies with the Laker girls.

Since 2000, the Lakers have used “A Season of Giving” to assist thousands of children and adults. This year’s events included a Thanksgiving Feast, a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, a holiday party for kids, and this gift “shopping” event with the US Marine Corps Toys For Tots program.
