At the end of the first quarter of tonight’s preseason game against the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers trailed 39-13. As the second quarter got underway, Ronnie Price was apparently willing to do anything to get the Lakers’ defense in order.
While attempting a drive, Price lost his shoe after Andre Iguodala stepped on his foot. Price also lost the ball and on the ensuing fast break, Price took an unusual step to try and stop the break. He threw his shoe at Iguodala.

You read that correctly. Price threw his shoe in Iguodala’s direction and technically, it worked as the play was stopped. Unfortunately, it was stopped to give Price a technical foul.
The odd, unexpected move didn’t turn around the Lakers’ fortunes, especially on defense as the Warriors were on fire while the Lakers shot terribly in the first half. Nonetheless, Price provided a highlight in a game where the Lakers struggled to create some.
