Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving recently caused a stir in the NBA, as he told the Cavaliers front office that he would like to be traded, citing fellow All-Star LeBron James as the reason.

One person who has to be in favor of Irving being traded away from Cleveland is Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, who has faced off against Irving and James in the last three NBA Finals.

At the recent wedding of former Warriors teammate Harrison Barnes, Curry and Irving had a little fun at James’ expense, as while on the dance floor Curry made fun of a recent workout video that James put out, while Irving stood right beside him and egged him on, via Sports Illustrated:

Irving taking so many shots at James comes as a bit of a surprise, as there were no previous reports of them having any problems before Irving asked for the trade.

But Irving’s reasoning was that he felt like James was treating him like a son, instead of the franchise caliber player that he feels he is.

Another aspect of him wanting to be traded is James’ uncertainty with the organization. James is set to hit free agency next summer, and Irving doesn’t want to be left in the cold if James bolts on Cleveland for a second time.

While all of this drama has to be music to Curry and the rest of the Warriors ears, poking fun at James’ expense may not be in his best interest as James will likely use it as fuel if the Cavaliers face the Warriors in the Finals for the fourth consecutive time next season.
