The Los Angeles Lakers had the intention of resuming practice today, but there was one big problem. The Lakers didn’t have enough players on the court to be able to run a full practice. Instead, the Lakers received even more bad news about their depleted roster. Xavier Henry, who was originally diagnosed with a bone bruise back in December, will be out approximately four more weeks. Lakers say Henry had his knee drained Wednesday, along with a cortisone shot.

Steve Nash who left Tuesday’s game against Utah with nerve irritation, does not expect to play Thursday against Oklahoma City. He admitted Wednesday, that he would not have played Tuesday if the Lakers had enough healthy players on their roster. Mike D’Antoni was asked about Steve Nash’s legacy and his ability to make guys around him better:

“He’s gotten so many guys paid, it’s not even funny.”

Steve Blake details that his elbow injury is making it difficult for him at practice each day. However, he doesn’t want to be selfish and sit out when he knows the team needs him. Plus, Blake was surprised when hearing about Xavier Henry’s setback for the first time.
