Rookie forward Julius Randle was seen at the Los Angeles Lakers practice facility on Monday putting in some work. The Lakers posted the following video of Randle working with Mark Madsen and company on the team’s practice floor on Vine:

The Lakers brass have high hopes for Randle as the team tries to recover from arguably the worst season in franchise history. Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss believe they were able to get the best player available with the seventh overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft and feel he has a bright future in Los Angeles.

At this point in time, it is unclear how many minutes Randle will get on a nightly basis. The consensus seems to be that veteran forward Carlos Boozer will get the nod as the starter with Randle likely to come off the bench.

It isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that Randle becomes the starter at some point next season. Even if the rookie does end up coming off the bench for the majority of the year, Randle will get the minutes and the opportunity to prove his worth.
