Kobe Bryant On State Of Lakers After Tenth Consecutive Loss
Lakers Nation Roundtable: What Rotation Changes Need To Be Made?

The Los Angeles Lakers have reached a new low as their losing streak has now reached ten games and the team has fallen to 9-41 overall. Nothing is going right in Los Angeles, and for the third consecutive season, the once dominate Lakers will miss the postseason.

After Sunday night’s loss to the Charlotte Hornets, head coach Byron Scott questioned his team’s confidence and fans at Staples Center let their dissatisfaction be heard. Fans have not been given much to cheer for this season and this squad will be looking at the NBA Draft once again.

Following the loss, Kobe Bryant had some interesting words to say about the state of the team, via Baxter Holmes of ESPN:

Bryant finished the game with 23 points, which led scorers on both teams, and he was just one of three players on the Lakers with a positive plus/minus. As a squad, the Lakers committed 15 turnovers and shot just 33.8 percent from the field — a recipe for disaster. The road does not get easier for the team either with games against the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs on the horizon.

The roster is filled with young players and they are still developing their skills in order to become the stars the franchise hope they can be. It is unfortunate that the team is not competitive in Bryant’s last season and it is horrible seeing a legend leave the game in this manner.

Los Angeles will be back on the floor Tuesday night when the team welcomes the Minnesota Timberwolves to Staples Center. The Wolves are another struggling team in the Western Conference and in terms of the draft lottery, this game is a vital one for both franchises.
